About our masonry
Stone work that starts with the right material.
Masonry is the oldest trade on a job site, and the one most likely to outlast the people who hired it. Stone and mortar done right don’t move — they settle in and stay. That’s the standard we work to on every project, whether it’s a set of front steps or a retaining wall that needs to hold a grade against a Connecticut winter.
We select material for how it performs, not just how it looks on the day of install. Drainage, frost depth, and load are part of every design conversation — because a wall that shifts after the first season is a wall we’d have to stand behind. We’d rather not get there in the first place.
What we build
Masonry services.
Stone Walls
Dry-stacked and mortared stone walls for retaining, boundary, and feature work. Built to hold grade and look right for decades.
Steps & Stairs
Bluestone, granite, and natural stone steps — set level, pitched for drainage, and finished with caps that won’t crack or heave.
Stone Veneer
Thin stone and cultured stone applied to foundations, columns, and exterior walls. Spec’d and installed for the substrate and climate.
Chimney Work
Repointing, crown repair, and chimney rebuilds in brick and stone. We fix what’s failing before it becomes a bigger problem.
Masonry work
Stone, course by course.
How we work
Three steps, no surprises.
-
Walk the site & talk it through
We come to you, look at the space, and ask questions. No hard sell — just a real conversation about what you want and what the site will allow.
-
Design & quote, drawings included where it helps
We put together a detailed estimate. For hardscaping and larger builds, we produce 3D drawings so you can see exactly what you’re approving before a shovel goes in the ground.
-
Build, clean up, walk through together
We do the work, clean up the site, and walk through the finished project with you before we leave. We’re not done until you’re satisfied.
